Awarding painted miniatures as a donation prize?

Let me throw this past everyone and see what your thoughts are... I've been toying with the idea of painting a set of Warmachine figures and giving them to a person(s) who donated an exceptional amount of money to save the site, say $75.00 or more. I'm thinking that it would be from the initial box sets of Cryx, Cygnar, Khaedor or Protectorate factions since they are the most popular. I've been researching painted figs on Ebay and think that $75.00 would be reasonable and I know that I am at least as good as what I've been seeing there in terms of paintng skills.

What do you think? Would having a custom painted set of Warmachine minis complete with their cards interest you enough to want to give a little more?

Re:Awarding painted miniatures as a donation prize?

In my case, no, because I don't play Warmachine, and I don't use miniatures on a regular enough basis to make it worth my while anyway (otherwise I'd paint them myself). That's not to say that someone might not find it worth the value, but I wouldn't.

I want to say, however, that I'm greatly saddened by the results of the poll. Assuming that everyone voted only once (and I know that's a big assumption), the gist is that about 50% of the people who voted don't feel that this site is worth saving, and I'd love to know why.

Here's my challenge to all those who said they feel the site is not worth a donation:

Leave a comment telling us what would make it worth it, in your eyes. How would you make the site better? What would make it more useful to you? What can we do to change your mind?

Re:Awarding painted miniatures as a donation prize?

If I can generate enough interest, I'd be willing to add a copy of the Warmachine Prime rulebook to the set.
