Six very brave vict... er, adventurers wanted
I don't normally view d20 Magazine Rack as a forum for advertising PBEMs and websites, but we've got such a great group here that I wanted to give a little something back.
I need six volunteers to take on a new PBEM I'm setting up for. I'll make posts as often as the players do, but I'd like to shoot for at least twice a week to keep it moving. Please don't sign up if you don't feel you can commit.
If you are interested, send me an e-mail at whtknt at cableone.net with a character concept. I'll choose the six characters that present the best balance for the party. Do not submit a full character as yet! I don't want you to waste your time if your concept is not selected. Just send me a brief (2-5 paragraphs) concept of the type of character you have in mind and your general plans for the character as they advance in level (I'm aware that this may change). I will contact everyone and let you know if you are in or not. The deadline for submissions is July 15, 2005. Once I have decided who will be in the group, I wil grant you access to the Yahoo group I will be using to run the adventure and provide character creation guidelines.
Characters will start at 1st level and will advance into epic levels before this thing is through (I hope). There will be plenty of combat to be had, but I still expect some good role-playing, so consider that when developing your character concept. The more creative your concept, the better the chances of being chosen.
The interesting thing about this adventure is that it takes place between the worlds. That is, the characters simply find themselves in another place from wherever they previously were, with no recollection of how they got here. What that means is that you can design a character from Greyhawk, the Realms, or Eberron! So if there's one you've been dying to try out, bring it on. I'll even open the floor to Unearthed Arcana racial and class variants. And I have a system for permitting races with an ECL as 1st level characters, so don't let that be a barrier to you (however, you will lose some significant power until your ECL levels out; just a warning).

Have you had much of a response?
Sent mine in...

Only two, so far. I'd like to get at least four. Six is optimal.
Cool idea
Cool idea. Good luck with it. I'm surprised you have not had more takers. I've got my plate full at the moment (making films, books, games, TV shows, etc) but I hope this goes well and you get some good folk with you.
Be sure to post the adventures online. It could be an excellent campaign journal.
