This guide is designed to introduce readers to the fundamentals of the city of Ptolus and help you create and run a character with plenty of knowledge about the setting. The guide includes a map of the city and an introduction to its districts, as well as sections on campaign look and feel, the various noble houses, organizations, history, NPCs, religion, the larger world, character creation, magic, equipment, and more. All this material also appears in the full Ptolus book, which builds from the foundation this player's guide provides.
A Player's Guide to Ptolus, a d20 System book written by Monte Cook, features the artwork of Jason Engle, The Forge Studios, Michael Komarck, Eric Lofgren, Howard Lyon, Michael Phillippi, and Arne Swekel, with a cover by Todd Lockwood and Ed Bourelle.
